Teche Elementary was built in 1960. The original structure was renovated during the 2003-2004 school year. The Acadian Style look has not been compromised. Since its opening in 1960, the school has had four principals: Ms. Mildred Broussard, (1960-1974), Mr. Issac Thomas (1974-1986), Mrs. Lulla Wiltz (1986-1998), and Ms. Patti Guidry, who has been the principal of the school since 1998. Teche Elementary has an open door policy and welcomes parents and community members.
MISSION STATEMENT: Teche Elementary emphasizes learning for all students in a safe,enriching environment.
