Loozi-Doodle by Kaylan P
These “Loozi-Doodle” artworks were drawn by students from five different schools across St. Martin Parish. These creative students are all in the Talent Visual Arts Program. Following our “Louisiana” theme this year, students created these amazing doodles starting with the outline of our state. The only requirement was to draw the doodle with black pen.

The commitment that an individual, a school, a district, a state, even a nation makes to education is a measure of its hope for the future. As educators we live our hope through our efforts to improve the lives of our young people, and in turn, our communities.
Our hope carries with it responsibility to create learning communities where students can reach their potential as learners and as human beings. The commitment to create such learning environments must also hold teachers and administrators accountable for their roles and the results they achieve. But neither responsibility nor accountability exists in a vacuum. Individual students, individual families, and the entire community are also responsible for making their own contributions. Success results only from effective collaboration and teamwork.
The quality of all our adult lives depends on how well we do the job of educating those who will care for us. The St. Martin Parish School Board and its educational family are ready to do its part. Through collaboration with our families and communities, we can improve the future for our young people – and for ourselves.
