The Quality Science & Mathematics Grant Program(QSM) was established by the Louisiana Legislature in the summer of 1992 for the purpose of providing materials and equipment to MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS. The grants are competitive. Claudia Nickens at CHS, was awarded a $50 for being the winner of the LRCE for the second nine week contest
ALA Winner Ms. Michelle Richard was the grand prize winner at this year's ALA confernce held in New Orleans. She won a free trip to next year's conference.
